The second edition of the Luxembourg Venture Days is set to bring together investors, startups, and innovators for a collaborative summit on 16 and 17 October 2024 at Luxexpo The Box. This event, coordinated by Luxinnovation, the innovation agency of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Luxembourg Private Equity and VC Association (LPEA) as part of the Startup Luxembourg initiative, provides an exceptional platform for networking, idea sharing, and discovering new strategic investment opportunities.

Positioned as a vital financial hub, Luxembourg attracts leading investors and markets globally by offering a diverse range of services. The country boasts a robust and thriving economy, housing approximately 550 startups and 15 incubators, accelerators, and innovation hubs. Additionally, a dynamic network of business angels and an increasing number of locally managed venture capital funds further enriches the investment landscape.

Unique Location

Luxembourg’s unique location within the Greater Region which includes parts of France, Germany, and Belgium, home to 12 million residents enhances its appeal. Its agility and accessibility, coupled with a business-friendly climate and pragmatic approach, provide startups and investors a bridge to connect in strategic domains such as fintech, space, climate, health, logistics, and mobility. This ecosystem encourages innovation and fosters sustainable growth while inviting stakeholders to play a role in its development.

International Business Hub

The rise of European unicorns, startups valued at one billion US dollars or more highlights the significant progress made by the European startup ecosystem in recent years. Matchmaking platforms and networks that facilitate connections between startups and investors are crucial for maintaining and accelerating this momentum. Luxembourg’s position as an international business hub at the heart of Europe positions it uniquely to stimulate interactions between investors and entrepreneurs.

Opportunities & Partnership

“Luxembourg is a hub, bridge, and springboard for investors and startups to explore opportunities and forge partnerships in strategic domains,” states Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation. The Luxembourg Venture Days will unite several prestigious events under one roof. For startups, this is an exceptional opportunity to pitch before a diverse range of investors. For investors, it’s a chance to network and identify new partnerships and investment opportunities. We are proud to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop this win-win formula and enhance Luxembourg’s role as a vibrant ecosystem for startups and investors.

Stéphane Pesch, CEO of LPEA, adds, “Luxembourg is a vital hub for private equity and venture capital investors, offering an agile and accessible platform for both established players and newcomers seeking to stay informed about developments, explore new avenues, grow their investments, and create added value.”
