In this role, Kozmina will lead the company’s global human resources strategy, serve on the Executive Leadership Team, and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Vladimir Makatsaria.
Strategic Leadership in Human Resources
Kozmina brings over 25 years of expertise in human resources management, particularly in the medtech and life sciences industries. She has a proven track record in developing high-performing teams, implementing talent strategies, and fostering inclusive workplace cultures. Before joining LivaNova, she was Executive Vice President and CHRO at Convatec Group PLC (LSE: CTEC), a prominent medical technology company listed on the FTSE 100. There, she played a critical role in transforming leadership development and strengthening corporate culture.
Her professional journey also includes senior HR leadership roles at Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) and Smiths Group (LSE: SMIN), where she developed people-focused strategies that enhanced employee engagement and operational efficiency.
Board and Advisory Roles
Beyond her executive career, Kozmina actively contributes to corporate governance. She chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees, further demonstrating her leadership expertise in talent and organisational development.
CEO Vladimir Makatsaria expressed enthusiasm about Kozmina’s addition to the company: “Natalia is a highly respected HR leader with deep expertise in medtech and life sciences. Her strategic approach to talent management will be instrumental in enhancing our organisational culture and driving workforce excellence. I am excited to work alongside her to continue fostering an environment where our employees can thrive.”
A People-Centric Vision for LivaNova
Kozmina, who will be based in Italy, aims to bring her global HR experience to LivaNova at a time of growth and innovation. She emphasised the importance of aligning HR strategies with the company’s values and mission: “LivaNova is making a meaningful impact in healthcare, and I am honoured to join at such a pivotal time. I look forward to working with the talented teams across the organisation to create a supportive and dynamic work environment that empowers employees to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.”
Academic Excellence and Industry Expertise
Kozmina holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She also earned a postgraduate degree in Chemistry from The Ohio State University and completed her undergraduate studies at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia. Her strong academic foundation, combined with her extensive industry experience, positions her as a valuable addition to LivaNova’s leadership team.
With her appointment, LivaNova reaffirms its commitment to fostering a strong, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture, ensuring that employees remain engaged and supported as the company continues to grow and innovate in the medical technology sector.
