Stirling Highland Games is delighted to announce its involvement in the grand finale parade of Stirling 900, a landmark celebration marking the city’s 900th anniversary as a royal burgh. This spectacular event, set for Saturday, 29th March, will serve as the culmination of a year-long series of festivities honouring Stirling’s remarkable history, culture, and community spirit.

Throughout 2024, Stirling has been alive with celebrations commemorating its designation as a royal burgh—granted in 1124 by King David I of Scotland. The Stirling 900 initiative has brought together residents, visitors, and local organisations through a wide range of cultural and historical events. The grand finale parade will be the crowning moment of these celebrations, showcasing the city’s enduring heritage in a vibrant display of Scottish tradition.

A Proud Moment for Stirling Highland Games

As one of Scotland’s most celebrated Highland Games events, Stirling Highland Games has long been a cornerstone of the region’s cultural calendar. Known for its traditional Scottish sporting competitions—including caber tossing, Highland dancing, and track events—the Games also embrace Scottish music, dance, and a deep sense of community.

By taking part in the Stirling 900 finale parade, Stirling Highland Games reinforces its role in preserving and promoting Scottish heritage, proudly representing the strength and endurance of the nation’s sporting traditions.
