Vecima Networks, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Falcon V Systems, a Poland-based innovator specialising in vendor-agnostic, virtualised software platforms for Broadband Service Providers. Through its subsidiary, Vecima Technology B.V., Vecima has secured all outstanding shares of Falcon V Systems, along with its cutting-edge technology, intellectual property, and expert team.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Vecima, as Falcon V Systems’ team and technology will be integrated into Vecima’s Video & Broadband Solutions division. This division is known for its Entra broadband access portfolio, a leading-edge suite designed to address the evolving needs of next-generation broadband infrastructure.
Expanding Vecima’s Entra Cloud Portfolio
The innovative solutions developed by Falcon V Systems will now be incorporated into Vecima’s Entra Cloud™ platform. This portfolio of open, cloud-native applications enables seamless integration across multiple technologies, allowing service providers to adapt to the demands of next-gen broadband access. Key offerings include:
- Principal Core: A versatile solution capable of managing cable, fibre, and mobile network cores in a multivendor environment. It seamlessly integrates with OSS/BSS systems, enabling the convergence of services that were previously unattainable.
- Test Suite: A robust suite of tools that supports Broadband Service Providers in accelerating deployments and enhancing features through an automated, end-to-end testing framework.
