Star Micronics, a leading international POS printer manufacturer, has unveiled two new labelling solutions: the mC-Label3 and TSP143IVSK printers. These innovative models are designed to meet the growing demands for versatile and efficient labelling across various sectors including retail, healthcare, hospitality, and logistics.

Enhancing Star’s Labelling Portfolio

Building on its established success in retail and hospitality labelling solutions, Star Micronics introduces the mC-Label3 and TSP143IVSK to address diverse labelling needs. These printers cater to various applications such as permanent and repositionable labels, food orders, delivery and takeaway labels, and product labels.

Versatile mC-Label3

The mC-Label3, part of Star’s mCollection™, offers exceptional flexibility. It supports a range of media types, including low adhesive ‘re-stick’ labels and high adhesive permanent and semi-permanent linerless media. The printer handles adjustable label widths from 25mm to 80mm, with features including black mark and GAP sensors, making it ideal for businesses transitioning from traditional to linerless labelling.

User-friendliness is a key feature of the mC-Label3. It simplifies paper loading with its drop-in mechanism, and its jam-free operation ensures consistent performance. The printer includes LEDs for connectivity and maintenance alerts. Star’s Cloud-based labelling app simplifies the process by offering a selection of pre-designed templates, along with a convenient one-touch feature that allows users to save and print up to three different label designs.

Compact Solution

The TSP143IVSK is a compact solution designed exclusively for linerless media. It builds on Star’s TSP100 Series, offering versatility and ergonomic design. The TSP143IVSK prints on low tack linerless media from 40mm to 80mm. Linerless media, which eliminates backing paper, provides cost savings, reduces waste, and enhances operational efficiency by extending the number of labels per roll.

Included with the TSP143IVSK are the power cable, interface cables, and paper guide, along with a standard 4-year warranty. This model addresses the increasing need for clear and sustainable labelling solutions, particularly for allergy and food labelling, and customer order tracking.

Advanced Connectivity and Management

Both the mC-Label3 and TSP143IVSK support multiple interfaces, including Ethernet LAN, USB-C, Bluetooth (for the mC-Label3), and Wireless LAN via Star’s MCW10 module. They are equipped for local PC, network, tablet, and Cloud connectivity. The printers also support Star’s CloudPRNT™ technology, enabling direct printing from central ordering platforms and websites.

Star’s CloudPRNT™ technology is widely used in retail and hospitality sectors, allowing for seamless online ordering and printing. Additionally, StarPrinter.Online offers businesses a fully managed service for efficient printer estate management, with minimal setup costs and enhanced visibility of connectivity and print jobs through an online dashboard.

Modern Labelling Demands

Simon Martin, Director & General Manager, Star Micronics EMEA, remarks: “Star’s new mC-Label3 and TSP143IVSK printers expand our portfolio of labelling solutions, offering exceptional performance and versatility. These printers are designed to meet the diverse needs of modern businesses, from retail and hospitality to healthcare and logistics, providing reliable and innovative labelling solutions.”

With these new additions, Star Micronics continues to lead the way in providing advanced labelling solutions that cater to a wide range of industry requirements, enhancing efficiency and sustainability in labelling practices.
