Landmark Acquisition Transforms UK Home Care Industry
Esteem Care: A Leader in Personalized Home Care
Esteem Care, renowned for its exceptional home care services, has been a trusted name in the industry. With over 7,150 care hours provided weekly to 620 clients, the company has maintained a strong presence in Manchester, Leeds, Carlisle, Kendal, Dumfries, and Stranraer. Esteem Care’s dedicated team of 250 staff members has consistently focused on eliminating loneliness, promoting good nutrition, and ensuring safety at home.
Optimism and Strategic Growth
Dr. Sayani Sainudeen, Founding Partner and Investment Director of Y1 Capital Ltd.—the former parent company of Esteem Care—expressed optimism about the acquisition. “This acquisition guarantees that our clients will keep receiving exceptional, compassionate care while benefiting from Grosvenor’s extensive resources and expertise,” said Dr. Sainudeen.
A History of Strategic Acquisitions
The acquisition of Esteem Care is a culmination of Y1 Capital’s buy-and-build strategy. The group’s expansion began with the acquisition of Guardian Response in Dumfries in 2015, followed by Cumbria View Care Services in Kendal in 2018. In 2020, the group welcomed Able Care and Support Services and Vive UK Social Care. The company rebranded as Esteem in 2023 under Tony Veverka’s leadership.
Dr. Sainudeen highlighted the integral role of the team: “I am very grateful to have a fantastic Head of Operations, Sarah Gee, who supports our local office management teams. Our Registered Managers are invaluable, and the dedication of our care workers remains at the heart of our operations. Over the years, we have forged strong relationships with social workers, contract monitoring officers, and commissioners at Local Authorities.”
Grosvenor’s Vision for the Future
Lee Peach from Grosvenor Health and Social Care commented on the acquisition: “Esteem Care’s commitment to personalized, high-quality care aligns perfectly with our vision. We are excited to integrate their service model and staff into our operations, ensuring the continuity and expansion of the outstanding care Esteem is known for.”
Focus on Transform Healthcare
With this acquisition, Dr. Sainudeen and Tony Veverka will shift their focus to Transform Healthcare, the UK’s largest provider of Cosmetic and Bariatric surgery.
Dr. Sainudeen also called on the new Labour Government to invest more in social care, citing the current challenges facing the sector.
Enhancing Home Care Across the UK
This acquisition is set to significantly improve the quality and accessibility of home care services throughout the UK, benefiting numerous individuals and families who rely on Esteem Care’s exemplary services.
