The Cegos Group, an international leader in learning and development (L&D), has announced the acquisition of Interactive Workshops, a dynamic and innovative provider of L&D services based in the United Kingdom. This acquisition marks a significant step in Cegos’ strategic roadmap for 2022-2025, strengthening its commitment to global expansion and reinforcing its presence in high-growth regions like the UK and the United States.
With a consolidated turnover of €250 million, Cegos is well-positioned to support organisations worldwide in addressing the growing demand for skills development, a need that has accelerated in recent years. By pursuing both organic and external growth, Cegos aims to expand its expertise, geographic reach, and capacity to meet the evolving training needs of clients across sectors.
A Strategic Step in Expanding Learning Solutions Across the UK and US
The acquisition of Interactive Workshops aligns with Cegos’ strategic vision of expanding into markets with strong demand for skills development. Founded in 2006, Interactive Workshops has gained a reputation for delivering high-quality learning solutions that enhance leadership development, sales performance, team building, and personal growth. Headquartered in London with a team also based in New York, Interactive Workshops boasts a distinguished portfolio of international clients who rely on its innovative training programmes.
This acquisition is part of a broader strategy that has seen Cegos Group integrate key players across established markets, including Brazil’s Posiciona, Next Group in France, and Neves de Almeida in Portugal. By acquiring Interactive Workshops, Cegos strengthens its footprint in the UK—a region noted for its leading role in the global L&D sector and introduces new growth opportunities within the US market.
Leveraging Combined Expertise to Enhance Client Experience
The newly formed entity will be led by Jonna Sercombe, CEO and Founder of Interactive Workshops, who will guide the integrated teams from Cegos UK and Interactive Workshops. This merger brings together complementary expertise, allowing both organisations to deliver exceptional value to local and international clients. Through collaborative service offerings, the expanded team will support clients with a higher level of commitment, quality, and innovation in learning solutions, addressing the diverse needs of organisations in the UK, US, Europe, and beyond.
Emanuele Castellani, a Cegos Board Member, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Our development strategy is ambitious because the need for skills development is growing globally. With Interactive Workshops, we are further reinforcing our presence in key markets, enabling us to meet client demands more effectively. The UK, known for pioneering corporate training, is pivotal for our international customers.”
This acquisition also brings an additional asset: Interactive Workshops’ presence in New York, which enhances Cegos’ service capabilities in the US market, a region where Cegos has been actively supporting clients for many years.
Jonna Sercombe expressed excitement about the merger, saying, “This collaboration with the Cegos Group allows us to fulfil our vision of reaching a broader, global audience. The alignment in values and complementary expertise will drive impactful growth. We’re eager to leverage Cegos’ extensive network of experts and clients to deliver outstanding learning experiences worldwide.”
