Once more, İstanbul Expo Center will play host to the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE), which reaches its fourth edition with a show lasting January 6 to 9, 2027. Its organisers want to unite over 500 exhibitors with some 35,000 people from the industry, based in more than 150 countries, and so open up fresh routes to partnership and trade across borders.
Istanbul, Türkiye: Visitors heading to The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 will find it at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM), where it takes place over January 6 to 9, 2027. The organiser is Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc., while support has been pledged by the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and also by the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).
Istanbul will become a meeting place for chain stores, importers, architects, manufacturers, interior designers and wholesalers, as the fair connects the country’s globally recognised carpet output with cross-border trade.
A focal point for international carpet commerce
Exhibitors will be given the chance to reach unexplored markets, create export links and grow partnerships around the globe. Buyers from overseas, for their part, will get a close look at Türkiye’s manufacturing capabilities, design skill and strategic position on the map.
Organisers forecast that ICFE 2027 will bring in more than 500 exhibitors, plus close to 35,000 visitors spread across over 150 countries.
The fair should see exhibitors and professional buyers forge new commercial links throughout its run, with those buyers representing important markets for the carpet and floor coverings sector, namely Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Central Asian countries.
Why the city’s location matters for trade
With Europe on one side and Asia on the other, Istanbul has modern transportation and logistics infrastructure that lends ICFE further international appeal.
Its wide network of direct flights means professionals in the sector can get to the fair without difficulty from anywhere in the world, so exhibitors are able to reach several markets at once in a single venue.
Customs duty cut eases costs for foreign firms

To help the show and widen foreign involvement, the Directorate General of Customs, part of the Turkish Republic’s Ministry of Trade, has put an important regulation in place. International exhibitors bringing products to the event had, under Türkiye’s customs legislation, been charged a temporary customs duty worth 100% of the goods’ FOB (Free on Board) value, but for ICFE 2027 alone the figure has dropped to 10%.
The regulation came about after extensive cooperation involving the relevant public authorities as well as representatives of the industry, and it should substantially trim the costs carried by foreign companies that put high-value products on show. Beyond that, the arrangement ought to persuade more countries to take part and lift the trade volume the exhibition generates internationally.
Events celebrate design and the exchange of ideas
Trading will be accompanied at ICFE 2027 by events meant to further innovation, industry development and the sharing of knowledge.
Leading names in the industry will reconvene at Carpet Talks, which earlier editions showed to be highly popular, for discussion of design, production, branding and sectoral transformation.
Innovative carpet designs will gain an international platform at the Carpet Design Awards, which draw original work to the notice of industry professionals. Under a special concept at the Carpet Workshop, designers of differing nationalities will join forces on production, giving visitors a source of inspiration.
A marketplace linking people across the industry
Opportunities for new business will be there to explore at ICFE 2027, a trade platform designed for manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other industry professionals.
The fair will let participants make contact with new suppliers, watch where industry trends are heading, attend B2B meetings and broaden their business networks worldwide.
Its last edition saw 445 exhibitors take part and 31,410 visitors arrive from 127 countries. ICFE 2027 now seeks to secure a stronger place in the top tier of global carpet and flooring events by drawing wider attendance and raising its visibility abroad.
